Dylan's Fun


Hello!

During this project I wanted to focus on animation and AnimBP's. I had a bit of a rough start with the AnimBP's but quickly got the hang of it and started to realize their power. Another thing I wanted to work on was my animation skills. I started with Blender and rigged the 1911. I got to animating and was having no issues until I started working on the MP5. The file I was using to animate the Unreal Skeleton and weapons stopped working and so I switched to Unreal's in-house animator, the Sequencer. This was probably the biggest challenge I faced but I had a fun time learning it and once again realized how useful it is. Asides from animations, I did some simple work in the blueprints and implemented the sound into the game. The only blueprint I made myself was the Artifact and Zombie Soul blueprints. The Zombie Soul's spawn after a zombie dies and acts as a leader to the player towards the Artifact, which needs a certain amount to power it. Once the Artifact is powered, the player can interact with it to end the game. 

Overall, I am ok with the game as it currently stands. If we were to expand upon it, then I would probably want to redo ceartian things, but a lot of the fundamentals are there ready to get more polished and expanded.
